Someone today mentioned to me that the GOP's "extreme" positions will hand Obama a second term.
The phrase "extreme positions" really angered me. EXTREME Positions? Are you kidding me? While I think the Republicratic party in Washington needs to be rejected by we the people, I think people should not be so close-minded and ignore President Obama and what actions he's taken:
I don't think I've mentioned this on prior blogs, as this is fairly recent. So President Barack Obama issued an Executive Order on March 16 giving the White House absolute control over all the country’s natural resources in case of a natural disaster or during a time of war. In the order, the National Defense Resources Preparedness Order, the President granted to himself the authority to approve the dispensing of all domestic energy, production, transportation, food, and water supplies as he deems necessary to protect national security.Despite the national defense hurdle that must be jumped in order for the order to take effect, the text of the document itself does not limit implementation to a time of war. In fact, the specific sections of the order make it clear that the President can take complete command and control of the country’s natural resources in peacetime, as well.
Obama has gone to war in Libya and Afghanistan without a declaration of war (!) from Congress. Thousands of innocent people killed in bombings and shooting. Americans dying for what. This is a continuation of Bush's murderous policies.
Obama re-signed Bush's Patriot Act into law. This is a privacy-stealing piece of legislation, allowing the government to wire-tap your phone at any time and listen to your conversation.
Obama signed the "Anti-Protest" bill HR 347. With HR 347 the federal government new and sweeping powers to bring charges against Americans engaged in political protest anywhere in the country. Critics claim the bill, HR 347, would make free speech a felony, and restrict political protest. Why can't I protest against someone that I think is doing a bad job?
Obama signed the NDAA into law. This law does not prevent the indefinite and secretive detention of US citizens WITHOUT trial. It permits this.
Would you call Obama a President at this point? It could be argued that he's a Dictator, not a President.
I think the person's statement earlier about the GOP having "extreme" positions just goes to show that the media is doing an EXCELLENT job of not reporting the President's actions to the American public. The media will show the President singing and showboating, or doing something comical, but won't advertise how much his actions steal our civil liberties. Stop allowing the media to dictate what you think, people. WAKE UP and vote for freedom -vote for Ron Paul.
Our freedoms as Americans are under assault, we are falling asleep at the wheel. This is why I make such a big deal about trying to tell people about Ron Paul so we can get a President who has the greatest chance of not eroding our civil liberties and therefore giving us economic liberty , and the fact is , without one we cannot have the other.
