Obamacare - For The Better?

Why is ANYone happy about the Individual Mandate being upheld?
This is one of the worst forms of communism/socialism I have seen in modern-day America.  I have people tell me they are self-proclaimed socialists, so I can't say they weren't honest, lol.
Here are a facts that focus on the impact of the younger generation - including myself.  Look at some of the impacts on younger Americans who want to start their own business in America:
>> You are young and don’t want health insurance? You are starting up a small business and need to minimize expenses, and one way to do that is to forego health insurance? Tough. You have to pay $750 annually for the “privilege.” (Section 1501) >> You are young and healthy and want to pay for insurance that reflects that status? Tough. You’ll have to pay for premiums that cover not only you, but also the guy who smokes three packs a day, drink a gallon of whiskey and eats chicken fat off the floor. That’s because insurance companies will no longer be able to underwrite on the basis of a person’s health status. This in itself is ridiculous.  We are turning further into a nanny state.  What incentive do people have to maintain a healthy lifestyle if someone else is paying for the negligence of their bodies (Section 2701).
>> If you are a large employer (defined as at least 101 employees) and you do not want to provide health insurance to your employee, then you will pay a $750 fine per employee (It could be $2,000 to $3,000 under the reconciliation changes). Think you know how to better spend that money? Tough. This also has the consequence of making companies think about how many employees they will hire.  Why should an employer hire that 101st employee if they have to start paying $750 fines (Section 1513).
>> The government will extract a fee of $2 billion annually from medical device makers. If you are a medical device maker what you will pay depends on your share of medical device sales in the U.S. So, if you sell 10% of the medical devices in the U.S., what you pay will be 10% multiplied by $2 billion, or $200,000,000. Think you, as a medical device maker, know how to better use that money, say for R&D? Tough. (Section 9009 (b)).
The reconciliation package turns that into a 2.9% excise tax for medical device makers. Think you, as a medical device maker, know how to better use that money, say for research and development? Tough. (Section 1405).
Obamacare's un-intended (or intended!) consequence is it creates even more barriers for young entrepeneurs to start their own business because now they have to pay these fees to forgo health insurance.
ALSO, what's to say the government doesn't RAISE the $750 fee in the future? Taxes have been raised, so what's to say the government doesn't raise this fee?

I'm optomistic that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I think in the future we'll get a President who understands socialism and communism throughout history NEVER worked and destroyed every nation that tried it.  When we have Presidents (not just Obama) in office who don't understand history and are bought and paid for by special interstes then we are not put in a good position for our future.
