What About Now?

We the people should be demanding a balanced budget NOW, not a year from now and not 5 years from now.  The more we raise the debt ceiling the more debt interest we pile on in the future and the more debt we eventually have to pay back.
However, and this is what most people realize, that it is in the best interest of our central bank AKA the Federal Reserve for our government to be in debt.  That way, our government must borrow from the Fed and then the Fed gets paid $20 billion + a month in interest on this debt, making these shadow bankers/crooks - who are immune from the IRS - richer and richer.  The discussion should not be Obamacare but should be bigger than that.  It should be to hold Obama to the same standard he tried to hold Congress to in 2006 when as a Senator he was quoted as saying it is "irresponsible" of Congress to keep raising the debt ceiling.  However as Bush did when he was President, Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth.
I hear cries from congressmen like Thomas Massie for Congress to pass a balanced budget but he is drowned out by the likes of the majority of Congress who want to continue this irresponsible, continual dumping more and more on the national debt.
By the way our President recently said on national TV "raising the debt ceiling, which has been done over a hundred times, does not increase our debt".  How is the media letting him get away with this one? He's either a moron or a bold-faced liar - I'll take the latter for $17 trillion, Trebek.
OK I'm off my soap-box now, enjoy the weekend!
