The mainstream media is viciously attacking Ron Paul. I've heard nothing positive from the media about Ron Paul's political views since his rise in the Iowa polls. The only thing I've seen and heard are attacks, and the media is even purposely making Ron Paul look like he's an impatient man that doesn't answer questions and storms off from interviews. In the same breath, the mainstream media is trying to portray him as a racist because of some documents that got published in one of his editorials around twenty - that's right 20 - years ago. Though these articles were in his own publication, the fact is Ron Paul himself didn't write these editorials, yet they keep bringing this up! On top of this, it was one article of 1000's that were published. It makes up 1/1000 of 1% maybe of what was published. If there were racists messages over and over in his newsletters then I could see how someone could make a case for this, but this is not the case. The irony is that while the mainstream media is trying their damnest to discredit Ron Paul through personal attacks, the fact is Ron Paul's ideas make perfect sense for our country's future. Instead of trying to attack him, why isn't the mainstream media explaining his positions and why they *MIGHT* be good for our country's future?
I mean, Ron Paul's policies are what I like to call "commonsensical". I listed Ron Paul's policies below. Instead of going into great detail here, I kept it simple. I figure it will give people who didn't know about Ron Paul before, enough information to start explaining his policies to others. End the Federal Reserve - end inflation, stop devaluing the value of our currency
End corporate bailouts - save money
End all the undeclared wars - save lives, save money
End all the militarism - save money, use saved money to continue building defenses
End / consolidate a few government departments
End the war on drugs - let states decide
End Obamacare - stop chasing away capital from US with higher healthcare costs
End the Patriot Act and end the National Defense Authorization Act (if it becomes law) - begin to restore our civil liberties
Prevent illegal immigration - stop providing incentives for illegals
Reduce taxes - put more money in your pocket, give corporations more capital to invest and expand
Secure the border with more border guards - use money saved from militarism
Social Security for elderly - use saved money from other cuts to continue promise gov't made
Social Security opt-out option for young - more flexibility for youth
Dr. Paul is the only candidate with a plan to cut spending and truly balance the budget. Here's a fact: Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who doesn’t just talk about balancing the budget, but who has a full plan to get it done. This is the only plan that will deliver what America needs in these difficult times: Major regulatory relief, large spending cuts, sound monetary policy, and a balanced budget. Not only this, but Ron Paul has been politically consistent for 30 years. He has not flip-flopped on issues during his political career as other candidates like Romney and Newt have.
Look, I realize there are some things that people won't agree on with Ron Paul. The fact is, the other GOP candidates or Pres. Obama will CONTINUE taking away our civil liberties, allow the Federal Reserve to devalue our dollar and wipe out our savings, start undeclared, unnecessary wars, and support corporate bailouts. Based on Ron Paul's campaigning and his 30+ years of the same message, Ron Paul will promote policies that will be the antithesis of these policies.
